Lower fuel prices in UAE from Tuesday September 1 Petrol down 8%

Diesel down by 18%, petrol cut by 8.5% at the pumps from beginning of month
The new petrol and diesel prices which come into effect Tuesday will come as a big relief to consumers after the 24 per cent increase in petrol prices in August (over July)
Abu Dhabi: Motorists in the UAE will start reaping windfall from the slide in global oil rates as pump prices of petrol will be slashed from Tuesday, September 1.
At the stroke of midnight on Tuesday, petrol pumps across the country are expected to implement the new rates announced by the UAE Ministry of Energy.
Diesel, used mostly by trucks and heavy equipment, has been slashed by 9.3 per cent for September to Dh1.89 from Dh2.05 per litre in August.
New petrol rates for September as follows: Dh2.07 per litre for Super (Octane 98 petrol), Dh1.96 for Special (Octane 95 petrol); and Dh1.89 E Plus (Octane 91 petrol).
 The new prices, set by the government each month, will come into effect starting Tuesday, September 1, 2015, the ministry stated.
Last month, the Ministry of Energy increased petrol prices by 24 per cent and reduced diesel prices by 29 per cent for August when compared with July.
